Ask for time off and report sick

Your child may not be able to come to school due to illness or a special event. The absenteeism approach describes how the Johan de Witt School Group deals with this. You can find this under Downloads . In this approach you can read, among other things, in which situations special leave can be requested and what the consequences are of unauthorized absence.

If your child is ill, you can report this via Magister. The manual can be found below.

If the student cannot come to school for any other reason, you as a parent/guardian must complete the absence form.

If you would like to request special leave for your child, please complete the 'Request special leave' form.

parental contribution

Parent/guardian contribution

The Johan de Witt School Group does not ask for parental contributions. We do ask parents/guardians to contribute to some activities. In addition, students must purchase mandatory gym clothing and sometimes special clothing is needed for a career-oriented profile.

Stichting Leergeld & Schoolspullenpas

Stichting Leergeld Den Haag is a foundation that supports children aged 4 to 18 from families with a low income. They do this by, for example, providing computers, bicycles, sportswear and musical instruments, so that everyone can participate at school or in a club. Parents/guardians of children with a Stork Pass can apply for a School Supplies Pass . This can be used to purchase materials for school.

complaints procedure

Complaints procedure

Do you or your child have a question or comment about something that happened at school? Then you can raise this with the mentor. If your question is not answered satisfactorily, you can contact the location manager. If this does not lead to your satisfaction, you can contact the management of the school group.

The Johan de Witt School Group is affiliated with a national complaints committee: National Complaints Committee (LKC) of the Board Council.
