How does registration with the Johan de Witt work?

Step 1. Orientate

Of course you would first like to visit the school of your choice. Then you are very welcome during the open days at one or more of our locations.  

1st registration period

Step 2. first registration period

If you have chosen the Johan de Witt school group, it is time to register. This is possible once you have received your final advice and the regional registration form. In the 2023-2024 school year, the first registration period is from March 18 to 31 .

Have you received a link from Onderwijs Transparant? Then you can register yourself digitally via the system. You fill in all the necessary information there. So you do not have to submit documents separately to the school. If you have not received a link from Onderwijs Transparant, you can register via register the school.  

To register with us at school you must do the following:

  • Complete the first year registration form digitally
  • sign the advice form and send it or put it in the letterbox
  • sign the preference list with 6 schools and send it or put it in the letterbox
  • sign the declaration of agreement and send it or put it in the letterbox

  • Mail to  
  • Send by post on time to Mrs. Andrea Roos
  • Place in the school mailbox between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. This is located just after the first entrance door at the main entrance.

Please note: register at school for practical training

Would you like to register for practical training at Johan de Witt? Then visit our location in Capadosestraat. You can also make an appointment. You can register every school day from March 18 to 31 between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Did you receive ISK advice from primary school? Then you can register via the form.

What should you pay attention to?

Submit and sign all forms
In order to register, we need all forms signed. So check carefully whether you have actually sent and signed all the forms.

Send the papers on time
If you send the forms by post, make sure that we receive the papers by March 31. If the papers arrive after March 31, the first registration period has already ended. This does not apply to ISK.

Enter multiple schools on the preference list
Always enter multiple preferences, preferably 6. We do not draw lots, but there may be another reason that we cannot place you. By completing your preference list you can always go to another school of your preference.

Step 3. Have you been placed?

On Wednesday afternoon, May 15, from 3 p.m. you will hear whether we can place you at the Johan de Witt. 

2nd registration period

Step 4. Second registration period

Have you not registered (on time)? Then there is a second registration round. You will receive a new form from school. The second registration period is from Tuesday, May 21 to Monday, June 3.

Step 5. Register for the remaining period

Have you not registered (on time)? Then there is a rest period. You will receive a new form from school. This period starts on Tuesday, June 4.
